Spring 2025: Helen Plum Portrait Restoration

The Foundation helped fund the restoration of the historic Helen Plum pastel portrait. Helen Plum was the Lombard philanthropist whose estate created the Helen Plum Library. The Conservation Center in Chicago restored the portrait.
Dec 2024: Jinglebell Jubilee

Raleigh, Ginger, Mary ready to discuss Foundation plans with Jinglebell Jubilee visitors
Board members had a great time giving away bookmarks and sharing the Foundation’s 2025 plans with families attending Lombard’s Jinglebell Jubilee.
Thanks to Raleigh Floyd Jr, Mary Marshall, Ginger Kearney, and Brigitte Baur for volunteering to greet event visitors. Special thanks to the library for putting our table in such a prime spot – right at the front entrance!
Summer 2024: Grow a Reader

The Foundation helped support this youth reading program at Plum.
The best way to grow a reader entails more than just reading. The Helen Plum Library created two challenges to track the number of books read, completing fun activities, and celebrating along the way. Two age groups are involved – Seedlings: ages birth-2 years, and Bookworms: ages 3-5.
